As we enjoy incredible food and drinks, we are encouraged to open our hearts and our minds to what is happening around us. Each Shalon is led by moderators and experts who encourage us to ask questions, share our thoughts and identify the ways we'd like to evolve and get involved.

We are gathering around the virtual table to learn from people that have dedicated themselves to change the systems that hold people of color down. Whether the judicial system, the prison system, the education system, our financial institutions or so many more, the time has come to shake things up.

Smart, driven and creative people are using everything they’ve gotto make a difference during the global pandemic. Changing their business models, shifting priorities and resources and making the most of their networks, entrepreneurs from every industry are leading the way when it comes to providing the items, services and inspiration we all need now and as communities try to rebuild.

We’re preserving our own future by supporting organizations that are fighting for real change as we enjoy an awesome multi course meal of pickled treats.

After a long work week, the Shalon offers community, inspiration and nourishment - enabling each of us to step away from our daily responsibilities and focus on an issue larger than ourselves. If we're lucky, we wake up every day without thinking about how changes to healthcare laws will impact our daily activities, our finances and our families. Even for those people that are relatively healthy, this may not be the case for much longer. We're coming together with healthcare and community experts to discuss how changes to the Affordable Health Act will impact our personal lives and the communities we live in. Bring questions, concerns, ideas and as always, an empty stomach - while the conversation will be intense, the food and wine will be easy and delicious to digest!
