A Virtual Shalon on the implications of LEGALIZING CANNABIS:
Part 1: Business and Legal Considerations

What does it mean to have a legitimate business when it comes to substances that have only recently become legal (and that are only legal on a state by state basis?)

Join Shalon and industry experts to discuss, ask questions and share opinions on this evolving topic

Issues that we, along with our experts from the industry, will address (knowing that this is only the tip of the iceberg and there is so much more to discuss and learn!)

  • Legal

    • When might Marijuana be legal federally and what does federal regulation mean?

    • How do state regulations impact business?

    • Can marijuana dispensaries use traditional financing/banks? If not now, when will that be possible and what does that mean for opportunity and growth?

  • Business

    • What are the opportunities - existing and future?

    • How do ancillary marijuana products fit into the conversation?

    • What does investing in the marijuana industry look like and where are opportunities to make money?

  • Economic Impact

    • How significant is tax revenue for states and nationally and how is that money being used?

    • Does the industry offer new jobs that allow people to support themselves and their families?

    • What opportunities are newly available for women and minorities as a result of legalization (if any?)
